Snowmageddon is coming and the cats are freaking out

I thought I was prepared for winter but I wasn't expecting to have to deal with snow this early in the year. Yuck! As I'm posting this we are awaiting a foot of snow tomorrow. It's like the world is coming to an end. Stores are filled with shoppers stocking up if they can't get out of the snow tomorrow. Minnesotans are a hardy bunch when it comes to snow but this upcoming storm is predicted to be bad.

When they forecast thundersnow, you know it's bad. If you don't know what thundersnow is, "Thundersnow, also known as a winter thunderstorm or a thundersnowstorm, is an unusual[1][2] kind of thunderstorm with snow falling as the primary precipitation instead of rain. It typically falls in regions of strong upward motion within the cold sector of an extratropical cyclone. Thermodynamically, it is not different from any other type of thunderstorm, but the top of the cumulonimbus cloud is usually quite low. In addition to snow, graupel or hail may fall as well."

Storms are threatening much of the U.S.

This could be a bad one folks. Stay safe.
